As a fully integrated technology solutions provider, Service Tracking Systems (STS) employs a variety of intelligent hardware choices to accommdate virtually any desired perfomance specification. Hardware selections are constantly being evaluated and only the best are considered for integration.

Hardware configurations in the lane range include wall mounted, ceiling mounted, column mounted, barrier gate mounted, lane device mounted or post mounted. Depending on which camera is deployed to for your application, the heads are either bracket mounted or concealed inside a vandal resistant shatter proof dome.

As far as the actual camera technologies available on the market today, they include high resolution, high definition, black and white, color and infra-red capabilities. Images are captured in the Visible Spectrum as well as Infra-Red (IR) which when used in tandem with each other, produce images of license plates with ample quality (including focus, resolution, contrast, and uniformity), under all operating and ambient conditions (sun glare, night time, sunlight, and adverse weather conditions).

Spikelet is a fully-integrated license number plate recognition unit incorporating camera(s), illuminator, data and image processing within sets of Infrared (IR) LEDs. The unit comprises a monochrome camera surrounded by two sets of IR LEDs. PIPS patented filter/flash technique provides suppression of headlights and bright sunlight. Field-by field control of camera parameters allows the use of patented ‘triple flash’ technique to reduce any problems of plate to plate
variability.

The low-mid speed C6 all-in-one recognition unit is a robust image processing system that captures car plate images and identifies their license plate numbers. The sophisticated computer-camera-illumination unit, is fully enclosed with its embedded microprocessor and SeeCar recognition package, and performs all functions of an LPR system. The C6 unit has been fully integrated into several of STS’s access control and digital imaging applications. Several C6 units can be networked to a single server or directly with a client based system.
