documenting the physical damage of the vehicles before they are surrendered to the various entities
for use, can reduce the company’s liability expense significantly.
The digital camera set-up is very flexible due to its wide range of camera lens compensation
possibilities. The 4-6 cameras can be post mounted or inside a dome housing on a wall or column.
Triggers to activate the process included mobile wireless scanners that can read the vin#
of the vehicle, in ground or surface mounted loops, laser beams or license plate recognition.
All images and mpeg footage is immediately available for viewing on the LAN or remotely.
For Outdoor Applications, we offer an engineered canopy/steel-tubing structure we refer to as
our TunnelVision product. It is a perfect solution if you need to install your digital camera
lane in a surface lot. The idea is to capture the vehicle images in a reasonably well controlled
environment to ensure the best possible picture quality. Built to withstand winds of up to 85mph
and rated for significant snow loads, it offers a very effective solution when a parking
structure is not an option. The structure is equipped with the necessary lighting fixtures,
built-in electrical runs and camera mounts. This product is also available as a Single Lane.
Last but not least … combining the digital camera system with our state of the art
License Plate Recognition (LPR) Technology expands the systems functionality even
further. Repeat visitors are automatically identified by their license plate,
prompting the system to recall vehicle and customer information such as
make/model/color/plate and name. This powerful optical recognition can also
be used for access control purposes, generating alerts on stolen vehicles,
VIP’s, employees, etc… essentially any visitor category set up in the system.
