How it Works

CountSysPro versatile technology platform is able to accept and process any generic dry contact input signal to trigger counts. Some of most common methods include single or dual induction loops at key entry and exit lanes or any number of lane devices, such as our cutting edge Jetson ULD.

When utilizing loops, bi-directional lanes produce two dry contact output signals; one for each direction of travel through the lane that we capture with a Bircher Reglomat ProLoop detector. Single direction lanes produce one dry contact output signal. The dry contact output signals are wired to an Advantech ADAM-6050 Ethernet converter, allowing us to network the system with CAT5 cable to the Count System Terminal, which then communicates with Signal Tech signage via the same 100 Mbps network (using a Lantronix Ethernet to RS-485 converter).

Level available space counts are sent to signage in real-time. The Count System may also send commands to display “Open” or “Closed” on the signage to effectively open or close parking levels.

In addition to bi-directional inductive loop count technology, we offer a digital camera and license plate recognition add-on module. The sketch to the left depicts a barrier gate mounted camera dome, which can house a regular high definition camera to collect pictures of all vehicles entering and exiting your facility. Below is a thumbnail count chart, allowing you to browse 100 pictures at a time. As you can see, exceptions are easily identified. Moving your cursor over any of the pictures will reveal a larger image, enabling you to decipher vehicle information – including license plate.
