Software
BellDeskPro is a completely scalable open architecture application built in
Visual Basic and powered by a robust SQL Server Database backend. The Main Menu
shown on the right is an intuitive user-friendly touch-screen interface providing
quick access to all pertinent functions needed to track and manage your bell desk tasks.
The Front Generator shown below serves as the dispatcher’s input screen. An
interface to your HMS will populate the name based on room number. Once a front
is entered, it moves on to the Pending Monitor – waiting to be assigned.
The Pending and Assigned Progress Monitor below allow you to understand current
work-loads, delivery times and staffing considerations at a glance. Entries can
be color coded once they reach certain threshold times defined by you, so that
you can respond and make decision quickly to pre-empt customer service issues.

The top half of the monitor screen on the right depicts the Assigned Monitor.
It shows when the front was assigned, how many minutes have elapsed since, name
of the guest, front type (Check-in), the bellman, claim check number, total # of
bags and destination room#.

The bottom half of the monitor screen on the right depicts the Pending Monitor.
It shows when the front was generated, how many minutes have elapsed since, name
of the guest, front type (Check-in), the bellman, claim check number, total # of
bags and destination room number.
|
The Bellmen Queue shown below displays the available bellmen waiting for fronts.
When a front becomes available for a bellman, his name will be highlighted in green.
The queue displays how long a bellman has been waiting for a front, the time they
last entered the queue, the total number of fronts received so far that day, and
the number of times a front has been called—made available to them.
The actual bellqueue monitor is generally mounted up higher
on the wall in the luggage room, so everyone can observe it – even from a distance.

…or it can be placed on a counter top,
next to the scanner and receipt printer that will assign
the next front …

The History Grid files all fronts that have ever been entered into the system.
Search tools and a variety of column sorts allows for on-demand reporting.
